Everything is Consciousness

Welcome to one more meeting here by Paltalk! One more time together at this meeting.

This image, like this sound, what appears, what emerges, is something perceptible in this Presence, in this Consciousness.

An ordinary person can see and hear, while a blind person can only listen. However, this experience is experienced in the same room for both. These so-called "normal people" and "special people" are experiencing the same space. Their experiences are the same experience, and when I say "their experiences," I am not talking about the experiences of someone; I am talking about the experience of this Consciousness. It is a unique experience! The way it is interpreted by the mechanism (body-mind) is what changes: one is able and the other not. One is enabled for certain functions and the other is not, but it is the same experience: the experience of this Consciousness. It is not a personal experience, because there is no person in the experience, there is only the experience. Do you all hear that?

Participant: So, who cries or who laughs before the experience?

Master Gualberto: It is also an apparition in the experience. This apparition in the experiment appears in another format; in a format it laughs and in the other format it cries, but the experience is always Consciousness. It is discouraging that, because you have no importance. You are a fraud as an entity present in this. There is no entity present in it! You are as important as an ant, a dog or a bird, because the experience for them is also the same: the experience of Consciousness... experience in Consciousness. Whatever is being known, felt and experienced, is being known, felt and experienced in the Consciousness. In this sense, a dog is also in the same condition of an ant and of a "so important" human being. In other words, the person does not know. It is the Consciousness that knows.

The experience is of the Consciousness, of the Being. Being is Consciousness. The experience is of the Self, the experience is in the Self. The Self is just one; Consciousness is just one, either in the ant or in the elephant or in the human being. Every experience is being known in the Consciousness. In the Consciousness, the whole experience is sacred, it is divine; all experience is the very Consciousness experiencing Itself, it is the very Consciousness as experience. There is no separation; there is nothing special happening to "someone". Everything is happening in a natural way, not special, and not for "someone"! It is in the Consciousness, by the Consciousness and for the Consciousness, whatever it may be known, whatever is being known.

We did not consider the stones. We talked about the ant, the elephant, the dog and the human being, but the stones are also in the experience. Whatever the experience is, as a rock, an ant, an elephant, a dog or a human being, it is still the experience of this Consciousness. It is this Consciousness in the experience. We call stone, ant, elephant, dog and human being, but there is only Consciousness... just Consciousness. Everything is Consciousness! Consciousness experiences itself as stone, as ant, as dog, as cat, as tree, as bird, as human being ... And what about "you"? Where do you and your story get in? Do you want me to tell where your story gets in? In the imagination of "someone" in this thing called "life." Life is not yours; your imagination is. Imagination is yours, Life is Consciousness. Is not it beautiful? Life is Consciousness! Your life is imagination. This story, which you call life, is the imagination of a so-called experimenter of this whole thing. It sounds strange, does not? Your struggle is your story and your story is your imagination. It is what you call life, "my life."

This is called Satsang, the meeting with what Is. That is how everything is going on. That is how it is being felt, experienced, touching and being touched: without you! This experience, which is not personal, is not private, it is Consciousness, Presence, Self, Love, Silence, Peace, Truth and Freedom! There is not "you" in this! There is just That! The personal importance is the valuation of a fantasy, an imagination, a story created by thought.

Everything has been built by thought: an edifice, a building, a bridge, the cars of Chevrolet, Ford... Everything has been planned by thought, imagined by thought. They are within our history, our imagination: the planes, churches, cathedrals, the gods we put inside the cathedral, the saints, our religion, and our football team. We invent them and, then, we support them, we become in favor of them. We are in favor of a religion, a football team, a political ideology, a political party... It is all the same! Thought has created this whole division, while the Consciousness knows nothing of this. The Being, Presence, God, does not root for any team, It raises no ideology, no ideological flag, party, politics, It does not militate for any reason and does not participate in any religion.

And now, what will you do with this?

What I am saying is that Consciousness does not engage, it does not engage in relationships. So I have told you: get into relations, but not into relationships. There is no way to live without relations. Thus, our relations with the baker, with the cashier at the market and with the bank teller are going on, as well as our relations with the employer, with the employee, with wife, with the children... But if this turns to a relationship, it complicates, because then you fall into a trap. Do you understand the difference? A relation is a utilitarian thing. I have talked it sometimes, and, of course, I am always misunderstood (laughs). Relation is a practical thing: you give the money to the man who makes the bread and he makes the bread for you to eat; you pay for the service and he provides you the service. It is a utilitarian thing! It gets more complicated when we put the personal feeling, but this is subject to face Satsang, because it is very hard to hear it here by Paltalk.

I already know. When I start talking about it, the person gets in, and then comes the emotional, feeling, romanticism, and the complication arises because there is the idea of possession, domination, control, obedience, "who owes what to whom," this whole thing. There is no way to realize God, thereby. But let us leave it at that, I think you must be tired. After that an elephant, an ant and you are at the same level before the Divine, which is the Consciousness...

I have read these days, from someone who lived with Ramana, the animals that came to see him in the Ashram – occasionally, there appeared dogs, cats, monkeys - were touched by his Presence. Interestingly, humans did not feel much. One or another felt something. They looked at Ramana and saw a person, while the animals looked at Ramana and regarded him as the Divine Presence in the form.

Animals could see and people could not. I thought this rather curious too.

See you next meeting. Namaste!

The direct understanding

From the direct and real understanding of this Truth - that is, if you go directly to this real substance, to the substrate, to this basis of all knowledge, of any experience, without exception – you will find one single thing present here, which is this Consciousness. This Consciousness is what we are, this is the only substance. There is nothing out of It. There is nothing more. This substance is this Consciousness, which is Happiness.

It is not possible to separate Happiness from this reality that is this Consciousness. So, Happiness is not possible in anything outside: in material goods, properties, professional achievements, far less in relationships.

I invite you to Be, to assume what You Are: Pure Consciousness.

These meetings, in Satsang, are for this inquiry, this investigation, this immersion and this finding about that Consciousness that is Happiness. This Happiness is Love, and this Love does not come from outside - It is the nature of the Being, of God, of Truth.

This cannot be an abstract thing as a theory, one more concept and one more belief. This Consciousness is what permeates from outside to inside, from inside to outside; It is the substance, it is the Truth of this manifestation.

It is not the world and that Consciousness, it is not the “mind-body mechanism” and this Consciousness, it is not the “thought, feeling, emotion, action, pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow, good and evil" and this Consciousness. I am saying this Consciousness is the only reality of all these appearances. Above everything, inside everything, within everything, under everything, there IT is.

What is the most intimate - no matter if it is the pain or the most terrible suffering – there it is this Love is which this Consciousness. It is only on the surface, on the periphery, on the appearance and on the way that it seems to us as pain and suffering.

If we leave the resistance, if we abandon this reactivity, if we do not confuse with this appearance, then, we remain in this Consciousness, beyond names and forms; we remain in our Being, in our Divine Nature, which is Love. And so, it is not possible to be affected. Living in this affectation is being identified with names, forms and appearances, in the way that what is changing presents itself.

Consciousness is the Only Real Substance

How nice to be together in one more meeting here by Paltalk. We are one more night in this meeting, which I consider the greatest of all meetings in our lives. This meeting is called Satsang. This is the greatest of all meetings. Satsang is the encounter with the Truth, the encounter with your Divine Nature, and here we have this investigation of what really matters.

We live in this big mess. In the mind, everything that we know is only confusion. It is the nature of mind. Everyone can see very quickly how this mechanism, which we call the mind, works. How complicated! How contradictory, confused and perturbed this mechanism is! This is because we speak one thing, feel another, think in another and still do another one. Contradiction is something present in this chaotic, turbulent state, in great disorder, which is the mechanism that we call the mind. Neurosis is something common to all. We have psychiatrists here in the room, and what we are putting here is indeed a fact. It is like this, only changes the intensity, the extent, how this neurosis is expressed in each mechanism. This is the state of the mind - this proper division, these two apparent present things, this dualistic behavior, in which the mind perceives that there is what it perceives as if it had a separate existence. The mind creates this separation.

So, there are two things: awareness and appearance (the objects, the world). This is the belief - a separate entity believing in this. Here there is the illusion. This "I", this "me" inside the body, out of the "world", living the objective experiences. From inside the body, looking out to the world outside. This is something that we accept in a very conventional way, very legitimate, as being real. This is the division, this is the neurosis. All suffering, all misery, all confusion and all internal disorder are based on this belief.

Tonight, we are inviting you to discover the illusion of this. When we explore it, we investigate this awareness, perceiving, understanding this illusion, going deep into it through self-enquiry, meditation and this surrender, we have the possibility to go beyond this duality, beyond this confusion and this suffering, beyond all this disorder, beyond this neurosis. In this way, we can find that there is no such limitation, this confusion as if it were something real, because this is something present in this duality, it is something present in this dual mind. Thus, there is no such "person". There isn´t anything personal in this Consciousness, which is our Real Nature, which is unlimited.

Here we are before this silence ...the finding of this Silence. Truth is what we are, not on what we are identified with, in this illusory experience, this dual experience - "I and the world." So, the relationship between consciousness - that is what perceives - and what is perceived, in fact, is an illusion. The body, the mind and the world, as any experience, appear in this Consciousness and they are not separate from It. There is no separation. The only real substance is Consciousness. It is the mind that has created the illusion of "someone" present now, here, with an own life, private, personal. It is the mind that has turned this story into something of an entity "real," "present," but it is just a story, not an entity present. Seeing that way, nothing is serious. It is a great divine game, everything is appearing and disappearing, everything is going. All this despair, all this disturbance and all this suffering are on this seriousness. And this is just a dream, a divine dream, there is nothing serious going on. When the mind tries to go through an entity, then it gets serious: it assumes a name, assumes a body and assumes a story. Thus, everything is very serious.

The way we usually know is the way of being something. Our conditioning, the conditioning we receive is this: we have to be something. And here, the secret is to Be. The idea is "I am something" and, here, the proposal is: I Am! This "I Am" is nothing. "I Am" means nothing. It is a different movement from the one we received.

The only advice is: you are not real. The only advice is: do not believe in thoughts. OK?.

Let us finish here tonight. See you next meeting! Namaste!

Meditation requires no effort to happen

Maybe you ask me what meditation is. Meditation? Do not meditate on that. If someone orders you to stop thinking, and you strive in this direction, you soon will discover that there is no way to do that. It is because the thought happens without you. And, here, we have something interesting to be said: in the same way, meditation is something that happens without you. So, effort won't cease thoughts from happen, as meditation requires no effort to happen.

Your Natural State is already meditative, when there is no identification with the mind. When there is not this obsession, fixation, this undue importance we have given to the thought, then meditation is present; and that is very natural.

Listen to this calmly. I'm saying that, when you look at something, thought is not present, but a second later it comes up, and, when it does, it says "I want" or "I do not want"; "I like" or "I dislike"; or anything else. However, at that moment of the look, at that instant of the look, there is no thought. The same happens with the thing of hearing. You hear a sound, and at that very moment you are listening to it, there is no interpretation on it, no thing as "I like it", "I do not like it", "it disturbs me", "it does not disturbs me", "it’s good" or "it’s bad". Therefore, I want to invite you to stay there, only in the listening, without judging, without translating, without interpreting. Stay there in the looking, in the viewing, without saying "like" or "dislike". This is possible when you are aware to this movement of the thought that happens. Such attention puts an end to this conditioned pattern, a mindset, that is always putting us in this unnatural challenge of "being someone", "being something" - "someone" who likes or dislikes something, who listens to, or sees something. Have you followed what I’ve said?

Be natural is not being "someone", here, right now. This, folks, is so simple ... It's really simple! That is the work. Notice this: It is not your work, it's just the work. Because, if you entered doing something, you destroyed it. You do not fit there, the work takes place without you. You are not inserted into it, you are not involved on it, you have nothing to do with that.

We have, very strong within each one of us, this thing of showing up, always. Especially when we aren’t requested, we have to show up! You do not have to get involved with anything, or get involved with everything, but the mind is always getting involved with anything, always involved with everything, and that breaks off, disrupt, your naturalness, your Natural State, which is Silence, which is Stillness, which is Peace.

So, I want to say to you: stay there! Even when you go out, to the "outside", talking, having a conversation, taking positions, keeping your positions, even though you have to be there, in the "outside", do not leave home, stay there! This is the art of Being, to be yourself. This is natural, very natural. There is a present "discipline", but it is a subject of a new order - it is the discipline of self-investigation, of meditation and surrender. Is that clear? This comes in a natural way, as natural as a fish swimming, a bird flying, and the sun shining. This is being natural.
